Collaborative care for one purpose: your safest, most supported birth
Our model - midwife led, doctor supported
We offer collaborative pregnancy care between doctors and midwives for low to moderate risk patients. We honor physiologic birth while prioritizing safety. Those that need extra services, Dr. Wilder has connections to other family medicine obstetricians and OBGYNs so you and your baby have the care you need.
Our goal is for you to have a familiar face throughout your pregnancy and at delivery. We welcome your support partner and doula if you choose to use one.

The reality of pregnancy care in Georgia
Having a baby in Georgia can be harder and riskier than it should be. Our state has one of the highest maternal and baby death rates in the country. 42% of counties have no access to doctors or midwives that have pregnancy care. Out of hospital births have increased in recent years. Some are unplanned as parents are driving the far distances to the hospital. Others have turned to delivering in the comfort of their own home with more control of their delivery experience. This may unnecessarily increase the risk of delaying lifesaving emergency care - even in the lowest risk pregnancies.
About 1 in 5 adults in Georgia struggles to understand health information, which makes it harder to understand medical risks or know when to seek help. At the same time, conditions like obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes are showing up earlier in life, even in young adults. These conditions make pregnancy more complicated and raise the chances of problems like preterm birth or preeclampsia.
We believe birth shouldn't be about choosing sides — it's about bringing everyone together. By connecting the wisdom of community birth with the resources of hospital care, we're helping families feel safe, supported, and respected wherever they give birth.
